Thank you for your purchase of this Skat software. This section of the handbook is intended especially for the beginner who has not yet mastered the rules. In the following chapters, we will explain the rules with the help of examples and will cover relevant playing strategy. If you already play Skat, it's not necessary to read this part of the handbook. In some cases, we have omitted a detailed description of things that are automatically handled and controlled by the Computer. Our goal is to give you the necessary rules and strategy so that you can enjoy the program.
This software is available for Macintosh as well as for Windows95/98/ME/NT4/NT2000/XP, although the functionality may not be the same on all platforms. Differences are noted in the respective portions of this handbook.
